Originally a transplant from Ohio at an early age, Chris Zuga has forged a creative life in Mississippi through ground breaking art and a zeal for expression. A life time student and a devout teacher, Chris Zuga has tried to push himself in as many directions as the stroke of a pen or the movement of a brush could take him. His artistic education ranges from studying at the University of Southern Mississippi, Hinds County Community College, and Belhaven College, to creative collaborations with a myriad of artists, web designers, writers and publications. As a teacher, Chis Zuga has inspired many students of various ages, backgrounds and visual direction at Antonelli College in Jackson, Mississippi.

With over 20 years experience as a professional artist, Chris Zuga has been commissioned and sold an assortment of original graphic prints, block prints and original paintings. Additionally, Chris Zuga has created several online published cartoons and is a regular contributor to several online media publications. Currently, Chris Zuga is the cartoonist in residence for The Jackson Free Press, a nationally heralded and awarded alternative publication in Jackson Mississippi.

Coming from a very large Catholic family, Chris Zuga knew he had to discover a way to stand out from his siblings. By forging his way through artistic design, Chris Zuga has solidified his position as the pulse of alternative design and independent expression in central Mississippi.

Never as misanthropic as he seems, always the consummate artist, Chris Zuga lives and breathes his creative expression, one day at a time.
